Light of the world!

Hello to the light of my life, ✨✨

“You are the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 ESV 

As a child, I remember vividly the moments spent at Metropolitan Spiritual, where the atmosphere was always filled with joy and uplifting melodies. One of my fondest memories is when the choir sang the beautiful and powerful song 🎵 “Jesus is the light of the world” ! 🌎 Each time those notes filled the air, I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness and excitement that surged through me! I would leap to my feet, filled with exuberance, and begin to praise the Lord with all my heart! My cheeks would flush with a rosy red, and I would wear the biggest, brightest smile on my face, reflecting the joy that was bubbling inside me! It was during those moments that I truly believed in the essence of the message that Jesus was indeed the light of the world. However, it wasn't until more recently that a profound realization struck me: we all possess that light within ourselves too! The world often tells us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a beacon of hope waiting for us after we have traversed through the shadows. But I am here to tell you that this notion is far from the TRUTH! The light is not merely waiting for us at the end of some distant tunnel; rather, the light resides within each of us, illuminating our paths and guiding our way! You are that light! Whenever you find yourself surrounded by darkness, whether it be in moments of despair, doubt, or fear, remember that once you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, His radiant light shines within you! In a world that can often feel overwhelming and filled with shadows, you are that beaming light, a beacon on a hill that cannot be hidden from view! Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, thanking you for sending us Jesus, the ultimate light in our lives! We express our heartfelt gratitude for allowing Him to dwell within us, lighting our paths and guiding our steps. We humbly ask that you help us to always remember that we are the light, especially during our darkest days when it may be hard to see our own brightness. We seek your guidance so that our light may continue to illuminate our lives, allowing others to witness your love and grace through us. We pray that our light will serve a greater purpose in building up your kingdom, drawing more brothers and sisters to Christ, so that they too can experience the freedom and joy that we have found in you! We desire for them to be 🆓, just as you have allowed us to be! Thank you so much for this incredible gift, Father! May our light glorify you in all that we do and say! In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
