Serve man but not please him

Hello Darlings,

Galatians 1:10 (ESV): "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."

May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly! It is with a heart full of gratitude that I reach out to you today. Our primary purpose in this life is to not only please and serve God but also to truly exist in a way that reflects His love and grace. This is a profound calling that guides our actions and decisions. Our secondary purpose, which is equally significant, is to bring a taste of heaven to earth. However, it is crucial to clarify that there is often a misrepresentation of what this means in the context of our daily lives. Bringing heaven on earth does not imply that we are here merely to please people; rather, it is about serving them selflessly and wholeheartedly. The definition of 'please' often centers around taking only one's own wishes into consideration when deciding how to act or proceed. This is a fundamentally flawed approach, especially when we consider that man’s heart, when disconnected from God, can be selfish, wicked, deceitful, and driven by lustful desires that constantly shift and change. In contrast, Christ calls us to align our hearts and actions with the teachings found in His word, which stands as a guiding light above the erratic desires of human nature. When we prioritize pleasing people, we risk overriding the divine wisdom contained in God's word, which ultimately leads us away from our true purpose. Serving others, on the other hand, embodies the essence of Christ’s teachings. It involves comforting those in distress, helping those in need, encouraging the weary, and consistently putting others before ourselves. This selfless service is what aligns with God’s word and reflects the behavior exhibited by Christ during His time on earth. By embracing this mindset, we not only fulfill our duty to serve God but also enrich our relationships with one another and foster a community rooted in love and compassion. Furthermore, as we embark on this journey together, we shall inherit the kingdom boundaries that God has established to protect our relationship with Him, with ourselves, and with our fellow beings. These boundaries are not restrictions but rather divine safeguards that help us navigate the complexities of life while remaining true to our calling. We are here to please and serve God first and foremost, and through that service, we can genuinely serve man—not to seek the approval of man but to fulfill our divine purpose. I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you, filled with purpose and dedication to our shared mission. Let us embrace the path ahead with open hearts and minds, ready to serve and uplift one another. Peace and blessings always!
