Hello beloved,
2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
God informs us to walk by faith and not by sight! This profound instruction serves as a guiding principle in our lives, inviting us to embrace a perspective that transcends our immediate circumstances. When things do not seem to appear to be looking right, when the path ahead is shrouded in uncertainty or challenges, we must remember that God is always at work behind the scenes, orchestrating events for our good and His glory! Often times, turbulence in your life signifies that you are moving in the right direction, pushing against the currents of doubt and fear. So do not focus on the turbulence, the chaos, or the obstacles; instead, focus on the Almighty power of God, who is sovereign over all situations! We have to trust in His character, which is unchanging and perfect! Why not trust in a being whose ways are higher than our ways, whose thoughts are infinitely more profound than our own? Why not place our trust in someone who is ALWAYS Good, whose essence is goodness itself? Why not trust someone who is ALWAYS loving, pouring out unconditional love that surpasses human understanding? Why not trust someone who is ALWAYS faithful, keeping His promises and remaining steadfast even when we falter? Faith is not merely an abstract concept; it is a vital part of God's character and it is intricately woven into our divine design! We are made in His image and after His likeness! This means that our very nature reflects His, and our capacity for faith is a testament to this divine connection. Image signifies His nature and character, embodying attributes such as love, justice, and mercy. Likeness refers to function, and His function is faith! Our divine power, the faith that sustains us, comes from His likeness, empowering us to navigate the complexities of life with confidence and assurance. Let’s use our divine power that was gifted to us by walking in faith, actively choosing to believe in the unseen and trusting in the promises of God! Father, we thank you for this wonderful gift of faith, a treasure that enables us to rise above our circumstances and cling to hope. We thank you for your character, which provides a firm foundation in times of uncertainty. We thank you for creating us, for breathing life into us, and for instilling within us the ability to believe in what we cannot see. Help us to have faith like you, to embody your trustworthiness and love in our interactions with others. Help us to grow more and more like you, reflecting your light in a world that often feels dark and chaotic. Thank you so much for all the things you do that are seen, as well as the countless blessings and works that you do that are unseen, which we may not always recognize but are nonetheless impactful in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen!
